If you’ve never been to Ellijay’s wine country in the North Georgia Mountains now is the time! Buckley Vineyards - Ellijay, GA
Buckley Vineyards, a special place that emerged after the acquisition of the Henry Evans homestead property, is known for its picturesque Turkey Creek setting and mountain views. Inspired by his love of gardening, owner Kevin planted a vineyard, and with the encouragement of friends and family, Buckley Vineyards is now ready to share their exquisite wines in this breathtaking location.
Guests can choose from a diverse selection of over 15 wines, each offering a unique experience. To enhance the visit, live music performances are held on Fridays from 5-8 PM and on weekends from 1:30-5:30 PM. Please note that Buckley Vineyards has a no-pet policy on the property, ensuring a serene atmosphere for all visitors.

Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard & Winery - Talking Rock, GA
Located in the beautiful rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, this stunning Tuscan-inspired winery is almost too good to be true! Featured in Northwest Georgia Living magazine, Chateau Meichtry is open every day for wine tastings, wine by the glass and the bottle. The festive and welcoming vibe is especially sweet on the weekends with live music, food trucks and scheduled winery tours. Imagine yourself sitting outside in front of a breathtaking big-sky mountain view, surrounded by lush grapevines, sipping on your favorite wine and listening to great music – what could be more relaxing? At Ott Farms and Vineyard you can enjoy this gorgeous setting along with expansive indoor seating areas and tasting bars. Owners Mike and Lee built their vineyard from the ground up, after Mike helped other Ellijay winery owners realize their dreams. Cartecay River Brewing Co. - Ellijay, GA
Ok, so not a winery, but definitely worth the mention! The Cartecay River Brewing Co. is located just a short drive from downtown Ellijay and the Ellijay River House, and has a warm welcoming atmosphere. Choose from 16 delicious ever-changing craft beers or a Big Kid slushy and sit inside, or on the outdoor riverside patio. Owner Brooks Wade makes everyone feel like family and provides live music on the weekends, and old-time games like table shuffleboard and darts. It’s pet and kid-friendly too.
