Goodbye
It is with sad and heavy hearts that we are closing our beloved Bed & Breakfast. We have decided to retire, and although we were hoping for new innkeepers, we have a private buyer who we believe will take very good care of this grand house and property. We are no longer taking reservations and are honoring existing reservations up to September 22nd.
When we became innkeepers 5 years ago, we never truly realized the positive effect it would have on us. It’s been an eye-opening wonderful adventure.
We are infinitely thankful for every guest who walks through our front door – they are a blessing to us and we will never forget their generous words, and acts of kindness.
We have been blessed with a terrific staff over the years, especially Carol B. who has championed us since the beginning!
Our family and friends also have supported us from the start, and now to the end… lifting us up every step of the way.

And the dynamic business community of Ellijay and Gilmer County – from the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, Artful Ellijay and all the fabulous businesses in town and beyond – continue to welcome us with open arms, and support us beyond our wildest dreams. We are so grateful and could not have done it without them.
And this glorious, beautiful old house and property. She’s a gift to all who enter and we will miss her.
All the best and many thanks from the Ellijay River House Bed & Breakfast.
